These terms govern your use of Vapor, a desktop proxy application for security testing ("the Software"), the Vapor portal at portal.vaporsec.io ("the Portal"), and related services (collectively, "the Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Account Terms
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.
- One person or entity per account. Accounts cannot be shared.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
2. Acceptable Use
This is a security testing tool. You are solely responsible for how you use it.
You agree to:
- Only test systems you are authorized to test. You must have explicit written permission from the system owner before running any security tests.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
- Not use the Service for any illegal activity, including unauthorized access to computer systems.
- Not use the Service to attack, disrupt, or damage systems you don't own or have permission to test.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Software beyond what is permitted by law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You are fully responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws.
3. Subscription & Billing
Plans
Vapor is available in three tiers: Free, Pro ($39/month), and Enterprise (custom pricing). Feature details are listed on our pricing page.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles billing, tax calculation, and invoicing on our behalf. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.
Billing Cycle
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. Your billing cycle starts on the date you subscribe and renews automatically. You can cancel at any time through the Paddle billing portal — your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you're unsatisfied, contact us within 14 days of your purchase at [email protected].
4. Credits & Usage
AI features in Vapor consume credits.
- Free tier: 50 credits per day, resetting daily.
- Pro tier: 2,000 credits per month, resetting on your billing date.
- Credit packs: Additional credits can be purchased as one-time top-ups.
Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods. Credit costs per feature may change — we'll notify you of significant changes in advance.
Pro and Enterprise users can also use BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) to connect their own AI provider API keys. BYOK usage is billed directly by the AI provider, not by Vapor.
5. AI Features
Vapor includes AI-powered features such as tab completion, chat, request analysis, and automated agents. Important things to understand:
- AI output is informational only. It may contain errors, false positives, or miss real vulnerabilities. Always verify AI findings manually.
- We are not liable for AI output. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
- Your data and AI providers. When using cloud AI features, portions of your data are sent to the selected AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Intellectual Property
- Ours: The Vapor software, branding, documentation, and website are our intellectual property. Your subscription grants you a license to use the Software — it does not transfer ownership.
- Yours: Your data, findings, reports, and any content you create using the Service remain yours. We claim no ownership over your work product.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- AI features will produce accurate or complete results.
- The Service will detect all vulnerabilities in tested systems.
- The Service will meet your specific requirements.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You are solely responsible for any consequences arising from your use of the Service, including any security testing activities you perform.
9. Termination
- By you: You can cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, particularly the acceptable use policy. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you beforehand.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Data associated with your account may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the application. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. General
- If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.
- These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Vapor regarding the Service.
